SF Internet Start-Up Snags Pulitzer Prize-Winner From Washington Post

The Bay Citizen – formerly the Bay Area News Project – has landed Steve Fainaru of the Washington Post as their new managing editor. Fainaru, a California native and Bay Area resident, won the Pulitzer Prize in 2008 for International Reporting.

The site, which was founded with venture capital from Warren Hellman and help from the University of California at Berkeley’s school of journalism, has made an agreement to provide content to The New York Times.
