SessionM partners with Punchcard to reward users for in-store purchases


Mobile loyalty and rewards platform SessionM has made the leap to retail applications with a partnership with shopping app Punchcard. The Punchcard app rewards its users for completing in-store purchases at over 15 million locations, including restaurants, grocery stores and gas stations. With this partnership, Punchcard users will now receive mPOINTS, SessionM’s digital currency, which can be turned into real-world rewards.

Punchcard users will receive mPOINTS each time they make a purchase at a real-world business and upload a picture of their receipt. These points can then be turned into gift cards, general merchandise or contest entries.

In addition, Punchcard will now promote its app across SessionM’s network, which reaches a potential audience of 60 million active users each month.

Finally, with the combination of Punchcard’s purchase data and SessionM’s mobile audience segmentation tool (mCAST), brand advertisers will have better data for building targeted campaigns on SessionM’s network.

SessionM has been proven to drive sales within other apps, including through its partnership with Glu Mobile. That partnership saw mobile gamers earning 4 million mPOINTS as of September 2013, with in-app purchases increasing by up to four times in Glu’s games that featured the SessionM SDK.
