I'm not ashamed to admit that at 28 years old many of my favorite television shows are still kids' shows. I love Yo Gabba Gabba!, Blues Clues and the They Might Be Giants podcast, but most of all I love Sesame Street. One of the best things about Sesame Street is that it's a great educational program for kids but it still keeps adults in mind, adding in funny storylines and innuendos that go right over kids heads but put a big smile on parents' faces. We've put together a list of 10 great Sesame Street clips that adults will find just as entertaining as little ones. Unleash your inner child and enjoy! Sesame Street: True Mud Earlier this month, Sesame Street released a parody of the popular television series True Blood. True Blood is definitely not a show for kids, but Sesame Street managed to put together an educational clip for kids while perfectly emulating the look, feel and characters of the HBO series. Sesame Street: Mad Men The Sesame Street Mad Men spoof is amazing. You'll recognize muppet versions of your favorite Mad Men characters, including Don Draper while your kids learn about being happy and being sad. But even if you don't have kids, Sesame Street's Mad Men is worth a watch! Sesame Street: 30 Rocks I think the 30 Rock spoof may be my favorite Sesame Street spoof. It features Liz Lemon as a lemon and a Jack the Boss muppet. The storyline is that thirty rocks are delivered for a sketch and Liz Lemon has to count them. Love it. Law and Order Special Letters Unit Sesame Street isn't new to spoofing popular television shows for adults. Awhile back they made a Law and Order: Special Victims Unit spoof called Special Letters Unit. Check it out below. Sesame Street's CSI Parody "RSI: Rhyme Scene Investigation" In Sesame Street's CSI Parody, 'RSI: Rhyme Scene Investigation', someone has lost something that rhymes with "at". Can you guess what it is? Sesame Street: A YouTube Interview With Elmo Sesame Street recently staged an interview with Elmo on YouTube. Users were invited to ask questions and Elmo answered the top rated questions in a 20-minute interview. Of course, the interview is geared towards kids, but it still entertaining for "kids of all agest". Sesame Street: John Leguizamo Is Captain Vegetable "It is I, Captain Vegetable!" When I was little, my favorite Sesame Street character was Captain Vegetable, so you can only imagine how excited I was when I saw that John Leguizamo did a cameo appearance as Captain Vegetable. This sketch had me cracking up, and I showed it to some of my adult friends and they loved it as well, so enjoy! Sesame Street: Ben Stiller Sings About Friends & Neighbors This Ben Stiller Sesame Street sketch has a sort of shocking ending, so make sure to watch it all the way through! Katy Perry sings "Hot N Cold" with Elmo on Sesame Street! Over the last couple weeks the Katy Perry banned Sesame Street video has been spreading like wildfire. Apparently parents don't like that Katy Perry is showing so much cleavage, but isn't that the sort of thing adults love? The Count Censored This isn't an official Sesame Street clip, but it does feature The Count, which is why it gets a spot on this list. Someone took a video of The Count on Sesame Street, singing about counting and "censored" it by bleeping out the word "count". The results: priceless.
