Senator to Hand Out Green Jell-O, Scribes Welcome
Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) has a quirky thing he does on Wednesday afternoons. He meets with constituents and serves them the State Snack: Green Jell-O.
We pressed his office on whether reporters are allowed to attend such gatherings. And they are. So scribes, if you want green Jell-O or just want to pepper Lee with questions, head over to his office at 3:30 p.m. for an hour.
In 2001 during annual Jell-O week the governor declared green Jell-O the the “Official State Snack.”
