Scripps Networks is searching for a manager of business development to identify potential digital media business opportunities for the brand. You’ll be working with key players in online, mobile, gaming and social media to determine the best strategies for the company’s web properties and channels, including HGTV, Food Network, DIY Network, Travel Channel, Fine Living Network (FLN) and Great American Country.
You’ll need to put your analyzing hat on, as this position puts a great focus on evaluating potential partnership opportunities. With analysis comes plenty of research, so you must be comfortable with and knowledgeable about digital trends and competitive products. If hired, you’ll also be working with several departments, including legal, marketing, ad and affiliate sales and product teams to execute your projects.
The ideal candidate will have five years of business development experience with 2-3 years of experience with a digital media or wireless company. You must also be familiar with platforms like broadband video, consumer electronics, social networking/gaming and mobile (WAP, SMS, applications, devices) to really be considered for the gig.
