Schieffer And The City

The new issue of Washingtonian offers some insight into the life of CBS’ Bob Schieffer.

He likes Chef Geoff’s (which is owned by the husband of his competitor Norah O’Donnell of NBC) for dining, Egypt and Sea Island, Ga., for vacations, Casablanca as a movie, and watching Sex and the City.

The 68-year-old “Face the Nation” host is reading Michael Beschloss’ “Kennedy and Roosevelt,” likes country blues (particularly Delbert McClinton), and never misses reading the NYT’s Thomas Friedman.

We’ll leave you to ponder this for this about-to-be-rainy afternoon: With which character on Sex and the City do you think Schieffer most identifies? He seems more of the Miranda type.
