A short TV segment on NBC’s Today Show demonstrating the translator app SayHi Translate vaulted the app from ranking in the low hundreds to the No. 1 rank on iPad and No. 4 rank on iPhone. SayHi Translate allows users to translate from 32 different languages by speaking into a mobile device’s microphone. On top of that, the app is 66 percent off. Educational game Elmo Loves ABCs for iPad broke into the top 25 paid iPad apps from a sale, dropping the price to $0.99.
