Say It Ain't So!

Washington Post’s Howard Kurtz explores the growing speculation/fear that bloggers could become “just another interest group.”

Perish the thought! What is a blogger if not an outsider? Well it seems the recent convention in Las Vegas lifted any of the remaining perception that bloggers are pj wearing dissenters.

But don’t fear bloggers — Kurtz isn’t agreeing, but merely noticing.

Kurtz: “But can bloggers carry a unified message, or should they? … And if they did coalesce around a central message and regularly check in with Harry Reid (one of the speakers) and company, wouldn’t they give up the very maverick quality and independent nature that makes them fun to read?”
