Make PETA angry In order to illustrate the third point, Alaskan Governor, former Vice-Presidential candidate and current starlet on whatever channel will host her Sarah Palin took to Facebook with a bad canine nibbling joke and tagged PETA in the process. Advocacy organization. Trolled. PETA has been known to bring the fight to people from a certain side of the political aisle. Sarah Palin understands that. She also understands that, for whatever reason, thousands of people still pay attention to everything she does. Take this cute picture of her youngest son, Trig. Little man needed some help up to the sink, so he stood on the back of the family lab, Jill Hadassah (don't ask). Upon seeing this, PETA determined they needed a full written criticism, which was published by the troll-bait specialists at Politico. “It’s odd that anyone — let alone a mother — would find it appropriate to post such a thing, with no apparent sympathy for the dog in the photo,” PETA President Ingrid Newkirk wrote. “Then again, PETA, along with everyone else, is used to the hard-hearted, seeming obliviousness of this bizarrely callous woman.” And of course Palin had to issue a response: Dear PETA, Chill. At least Trig didn’t eat the dog. It was all worth it for this dose of word vomit: “Aren’t you the same anti-beef screamers blogging hate from your comfy leather office chairs, wrapped in your fashionable leather belts above your kickin’ new leather pumps you bought because your celebrity idols (who sport fur and crocodile purses) grinned in a tabloid wearing the exact same Louboutins exiting sleek cowhide covered limo seats on their way to some liberal fundraiser shindig at some sushi bar that features poor dead smelly roe?” A question for 2015: is social media better for the sharing of content or the airing of grievances?
