Les Moonves’ Daughter Sara Is Headed to W Magazine

She starts as style director Sept. 1

Sara Moonves, who has worked in recent years for American Vogue as a contributing fashion editor and previously held the title of senior fashion director at T: The New York Times Style Magazine, is adding another top-of-class fashion magazine to her resume. Beginning Sept. 1, she will be the new style director at W magazine.

From today’s announcement:

“I am delighted to welcome Katie and Sara to W, and to announce Rickie’s well-deserved promotion,” said editor in chief Stefano Tonchi. “These appointments will renew our mission of disruption and discovery, and reinforce W’s role as an incubator for some of the best talent across the company and in the industry at large.”

Tonchi is referring here also to Katie Grand and Rickie De Sole. Grand, the founder and editor in chief of Love magazine, is joining W immediately as contributing fashion creative director, while De Sole, W’s fashion market and accessories director, has been promoted to fashion director.

Grand’s first portfolio for W, focusing on couture, will appear in the October issue. Congrats to all.
