Santa Barbara Public Library Adds eBooks To Collection

The Santa Barbara Public Library is now offering downloadable eBooks to patrons, thanks to a federal grant.

The program is powered by OverDrive and includes both PDF and ePUB files. Library patrons can check out four digital books at a time for 7, 14, or 21 days. All eBook titles can be returned early using Adobe Digital Editions.

Patrons are still finding out about the service, but they like the idea of it. The Daily Sound reports: “Fred Castanada, a lifelong Santa Barbara resident and library patron of over 61 years, was unaware of the e-book service.
