San Francisco Chronicle Editor Named 'Opinion Journalist of the Year'

The National Conference of Editorial Writers has named San Francisco Chronicle deputy editorial page editor Lois Kazakoff its “opinion journalist of the year” for newspapers with a 100,000+ circulation. Bob Davis, editorial page editor of the Anniston Star, won in the smaller newspaper category.

The NCEW gave no indication–in the way of judges remarks, synopsis, or quotes from organizational leaders–as to what earned these two journos the honor. All will undoubtedly be revealed at the NCEW press conference on Sept.
