It don’t get much bigger in the product design world than Ross Lovegrove. He’s known for, among, other things, designing the original Sony Walkman and more recently, the sleek and simple Apple iMac. By way of dezain, we learned the the people behind the Technology Entertainment Design conference in Monterey have put up Lovegrove’s appearance this year at the event. It’s a great peek into the mind of this super famous, uber intelligent designer, as he discusses his latest work “from furniture to water bottles — which is organic in form and inspired by nature.” Also, don’t miss this interview with him over at designboom from a while ago. There’s also this great book about the cultural significance of the Walkman, Doing Cultural Studies: The Story of the Sony Walkman.
