Kathleen Schmidt, the publicity director at Perseus Books Group's Weinstein Books who also happens to be one of our favorite people on Twitter, has joined Perseus' Running Press division as VP/director of marketing and publicity. In the new role, Schmidt will commute to Philadelphia and report directly to Publisher Kristin Kiser; she will also continue handling corporate communications for the larger Perseus Group in New York. (Release) Jennifer Wayman has been named president and chief executive officer at Hager Sharp, effective September 8, 2015. Anastasia Lopez has been appointed vice president of social media, leading the agency's social media efforts from PadillaCRT's New York office. Matt Fairchild joined the agency as vice president of technology and innovation, leading PadillaCRT's digital strategy, user experience and development teams from the agency's Minneapolis headquarters. Anastasia joins the agency after spending nearly four years as a vice president of digital for Hill + Knowlton Strategies in New York. Matt, meanwhile, most recently served as group technical director at Olson. He also was chief technology officer for CRAM Worldwide (now Secured2). (Release) Tiffani Cailor has joined Bermuda Tourism Authority (BTA) as director of public relations and content. In her new role, she leads global media relations and content for the BTA in the New York office. Recently, Cailor was head of public relations at Four Seasons Hotel New York, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts’ flagship hotel of North America, where she developed media relations strategies for both city hotels and resorts, directed all marketing communications and philanthropy efforts as well as managed all crisis communications. (O'Dwyer's) Andy Annett has been appointed as managing director of TODAY Ogilvy & Mather (O&M) Myanmar. Based in Yangon, Andy will lead efforts to develop the agency’s social and digital offering, expand its creative capabilities and nurture local talent.
