Roll Call: Ogilvy PR, Burson-Marsteller, APCO Worldwide and More

Ogilvy Public Relations announced that Nicky McHugh has been named executive director of the agency’s New York Corporate Practice. McHugh will lead the strategic direction and growth of the New York Corporate Practice. She will oversee the group’s client accounts, financial performance, talent, and business development initiatives. The Corporate Practice services clients in the areas of reputation management, employee communications, investor relations and business-to-business public relations. Bringing nearly two decades of experience in strategic corporate communications, reputation management, issues advocacy and executive visibility, McHugh has partnered with numerous influential brands in the financial and professional services sectors. She launched the Qatar Investment Authority in the U.S., provided executive support across North America for the Dubai International Financial Center and also for the French government’s economic development division, Invest in France. Most recently she spearheaded the agency team for Deloitte, and was the North America lead for the World Gold Council. (Release)

Burson-Marsteller announced that Ann Davison has been named chair, U.S. Public Affairs and Crisis practice, effective June 16. Davison will work closely with U.S. CEO Dave DenHerder and U.S. president Michael Law. For the past 25 years, Davison has led public policy, corporate reputation, advocacy and public education campaigns for elected officials, Fortune 100 global organizations, non-profits and private foundations. Davison joins Burson-Marsteller from VOX Global, where she served as senior partner and managing director, working with corporate and non-profit clients to advance their reputation and advocacy goals since 2008. Before that, she spent seven years with FleishmanHillard, most recently as senior partner and deputy general manager, managing multimillion dollar accounts in the agency’s Washington, D.C. and Miami offices. Throughout her career, she has passionately guided clients in applying social marketing and campaign strategies to shape beliefs, attitudes and behaviors in pursuit of making an impact on people and policies. Howard Pulchin, co-founder of Edelman’s Strategic + Creative Guild has joined APCO Worldwide in a new role as global director, creative strategy and community. Based in APCO’s New York office, Pulchin will counsel APCO’s clients in collaboration with APCO’s Studio Online group and StrawberryFrog agency to develop creative strategies that propel their businesses forward. Pulchin, who left Edelman earlier this year, is a 14-year veteran of the firm and served in a variety of roles including executive strategic director and co-founder of the Strategic + Creative Guild and managing director of the New York consumer marketing practice. Prior to his tenure at Edelman, Pulchin served as the director for U.S. communications at the Guinness-Bass Import Company, now Diageo. (Release)

THINK PR, a boutique lifestyle PR agency with offices in New York and Los Angeles, has recently relocated its New York office to the heart of the Flatiron District overlooking Madison Square Park. The move also brings fresh leadership for the company. Elaine Drebot-Hutchins, who has been a partner for the past two years, has been named president of the firm. Meanwhile, Michael Urbanski, a management consultant who has been advising the company for the past three years, has been named chief operations officer. Elaine will be working closely with THINK’s fashion director, Tracey Manner, on the boutique agency’s fashion and accessory clients. (Release)
