H+K Strategies announced two additions to its U.S. affairs practice: longtime journalist Mark Edgar and attorney Larry Krutchik. Krutchik, who was formerly one of the partners in Allison+Partners, started his 20-year career as an attorney specializing in business litigation. He then entered public affairs in 1995 and joined Allison in 2009, eventually rising to the level of partner and managing the firm’s L.A. office. Edgar was most recently deputy managing editor of the Dallas Morning News. He spent more than 30 years with the organization, managing its coverage of national politics and its offices from Washington, D.C. to London.

Porter Novelli has hired Catherine Fink as executive vice president, health and wellness. Fink will be based in the agency’s New York office and is tasked with leading the agency’s work with major health & wellness brands. She will be responsible for managing a cross-office team in addition to delivering high-level strategy and counsel to her clients. Fink joins Porter Novelli from Feinstein Kean Healthcare, where she served as senior vice president and patient engagement lead. (Release)

Grey New York has appointed two creative leads to its Activation & PR team. Oliver Handlos and Elizabeth Valleau are joining as Co-Creative Leads. Handlos joins Grey New York from Grey Berlin where he most recently served as executive creative director/managing director. Valleau joins from Trollback + Co. where she was executive creative director leading the BBC and United Nations work. (Adweek)
