Golin announced the opening of an office in Istanbul, formalizing its partnership with Turkish communications consultancy Rekta. The office will be led by Kaan Berkan as managing director. Berkan will join Golin’s global management team and report to president EMEA, Matt Neale. This is the second Golin office opening within two weeks following the launch of Golin Moscow on April 22, 2015. (Release)

Imre hired John Bentz to lead its consumer practice. Bentz, who served as consumer marketing lead at Waggener Edstrom, will manage 18 employees and work on accounts such as John Deere, Stihl, and PowerBar. (PR Week)

UK-based Babel PR hired Caroline Kawashima, formerly of Golin, to aid in its US expansion as EVP and US head of its new office in San Francisco. Kawashima, who will focus on tech clients, says, “After many years working with some of the biggest agencies in the business, Babel PR is a breath of fresh air.” (Bulldog Reporter)

Coyne PR of New York signed Matt Leung to lead its advertising accounts. Leung, who worked for such ad agencies as Young & Rubicam, Reckitt Benckiser, DDB, and more. His new title is vice president, advertising director. (Bulldog Reporter)

GMR’s Sarah Como has been promoted from senior director to vice president. Sarah began her marketing career as an account coordinator at GMR 18 years ago, and today she is responsible for managing and leading GMR’s marketing-communications team. She will continue to work from GMR’s global headquarters in Wisconsin.

Crosby Marketing Communications has hired Gabrielle Weber as a senior integration manager. In this role, Weber will help manage multi-faceted communications programs for clients in Crosby’s Government practice. Prior to joining Crosby, Weber served as a senior communications specialist at Abt Associates, where her roster of clients included several U.S. Department of Health and Human Services divisions.
