Roll Call: Donovan Leaves SanDisk for Visa, McD's Has a New Chief Brand Officer

Ryan Donovan has resigned from his senior director of corporate marketing position at SanDisk, a title he held for 2 1/2 years. Beginning in February, he will be global head of marketing, product and innovation communications at Visa. He also previously spent five years with HP. Emma Richards has been promoted to director of Waggener Edstrom's Global Alliance program. In this role, Richards will ensure quality local execution of programs for tech, healthcare, CSR, and energy clients. Established in 2006, the program is a network of agency partners focused on global clients. Richards will be based in the Hong Kong office. Kevin Newell has been named global chief brand officer at McDonald's, Ad Age reports. He replaces Steve Easterbrook, who became president of McDonald's Europe in December. The role will give Newell a hand in marketing, menus, and other assets. Chris Myles and Laura Layton have been promoted to EVPs in the GolinHarris Atlanta office. Myles leads the United Egg Producers account, helping the organization through last year's egg recall. Layton heads the Smithfield Foods account. Discovery Communications has promoted Laurie Goldberg to EVP of PR for Discovery and TLC networks in the U.S. Broadcasting & Cable reports. The company, which reorganized a couple of weeks ago, also promoted Elizabeth Hillman to SVP of international comms, leading PR for the company's 140 global networks. The TV Land network has promoted Kim Rosenblum to EVP of marketing and creative. She will be responsible for off-channel marketing, such as media planning and consumer promotions. House Party, an experiential marketing company, has added a CFO, J. Gregory Jester, and CTO, Michael Hermus.
