Roll Call: Coyne Public Relations, SpinMedia, ARGONAUT and More

Coyne Public Relations has named Rob Schnapp, former SVP and creative director at advertising agency network Young & Rubicam, as VP and creative director for the firm’s digital and production practice. Schnapp, who started in the newly created role earlier this month, is reporting to CEO Tom Coyne. In addition to leading a team of eight staffers in the Studio C digital and design team, Schnapp said he will work with all of the firm’s practices on creative. (Release)

Replacing Steve Hansen as CEO of SpinMedia is Dale Strang. SpinMedia provided FishbowlNY with the following statement:

Dale Strang has been elected chief executive officer of SpinMedia by the company’s Board of Directors. Strang, previously general manager of VIBE, has deep experience in digital media – including executive positions at IGN and Ziff Davis — that the Board believes will be instrumental in moving the company forward to maximize its growth potential and profitability. ARGONAUT announced today the appointment of creative director David Kim, who brings over a decade of creative agency experience with Deutsch, Venables Bell & Partners and TBWA\Chiat\Day among other renowned firms. Kim most recently worked with Deutsch LA where he spearheaded SmileDrive, a social driving app by Volkswagen and Google that was announced at SXSW 2013 and launched in July. Prior to Deutsch, Kim was at Venables Bell & Partners, where he developed HBO’s first iPhone app, earned One Show awards for his work on Slim Jim and Nestea, and launched Google’s Fiber service in Kansas City.
