Roll Call: Burberry, C&W, Al Golin, and more

We didn’t get the Roll Call column up yesterday, so here’s the belated Wednesday column.

Jenna Littler has been promoted to Burberry’s VP of PR and corporate relations, a new title at the company that brings together the fashion and corporate PR functions. Littler joined the company two years ago to build the corporate relations function. She was previously with the business consulting company McKinsey & Company. She’ll be working out of Burberry’s London HQ.

Tshepo Matseba has been elected the president of the Public Relations Institute of Southern Africa. Matseba is a 33-year-old corporate comms strategist and was recently named the head of marketing for a company called Discovery. [via AllAfrica]

Irene Baker has been named SVP of government affairs for The Madison Square Garden company, effective July 9. She’ll oversee all of the company’s public affairs matters. She was recently the director of cabinet affairs for New York’s Gov. Andrew Cuomo. She first joined state government in 2008.

Matt McGinnis (pictured) has been named the new head of Cohn & Wolfe’s Austin office. McGinnis joins the firm from Dell, where he was marketing director for the Enterprise Solutions Group. His career spans 20 years.

GolinHarris chairman Al Golin appeared on a White House panel yesterday for A Billion + Change, a campaign with the goal of providing $1 billion worth of pro bono and volunteer services by 2013. During the forum, participants discussed what they’re prepared to do to make good on their pledge. In addition to GolinHarris, Edelman, RF Binder, Waggener Edstrom, and APCO Worldwide are some of the companies that have joined the campaign.

Erica Gray has left Slate PR to join Viewpoint Public Relations, Deadline Hollywood reports. She’s bringing many of the celebs on her client list with her, including Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jon Hamm, and Elizabeth Moss.
