Roll Call: BlackRock, Sara Lee, Visible Technologies, and More

Linda Robinson, who helped found Robinson Lerer & Montgomery in 1986, has joined BlackRock, an investment, advisory, and risk management company, as senior MD and global head of marketing and communications. R.L.M. partner Jim Badenhausen is also joining BlackRock as MD and global head of corp comms. The NY Times has the announcement letter and Robinson’s memo.

Sara Lee has hired Robin Jansen as VP of IR, working out of the company’s Utrecht, Netherlands office. Jansen joins from Danone, where he was director of IR.

Blythe Reiss has joined APCO Worldwide to lead its food and consumer products practice in NY. Reiss was previously VP of comms in the Americas for Electrolux Group, overseeing corporate communications, issues management, and internal comms for the company.

Visible Technologies, a social media monitoring and analytics company, has promoted Eric Forst to VP of strategic agency partnerships. He was previously head of West Coast business efforts, a position he’d held since 2007.

Vic Catalfamo, a 24-year veteran of P&G, has joined Specific Media as global category lead for consumer packaged goods. While at P&G, Catalfamo worked with global and regional digital marketing, in the beauty and grooming division, overseeing e-commerce, and in other areas. Specific Media is a media platform company that helps brand advertisers, but is expanding into video and original programming.

During its annual meeting, IPREX, the international network of PR firms, introduced its first executive director. David Watson, a former firm leader in the UK has been involved with the organization since 1986. The organization also announced an increased number of members for the year, from 83 to 96.
