Rodale to Launch Line of Fitness Kits

Rodale has been aggressively working to develop consumer-paid products, from paid mobile applications to online subscription-based workout programs.
Now, Rodale is moving into the fitness product space. Starting this month, it will roll out a series of branded workout kits it created through a licensing agreement with EB Brands, a maker of exercise and fitness products.
Men’s Health- and Women’s Health-branded kits ($49.99 at sporting goods and specialty stores and are the first in the series. The kits include exercise products, a workout poster for a six-week exercise program, a one-year digital subscription to the magazine and a three-month subscription to the magazines’ online fitness and nutrition programs.
Rodale plans to introduce other products tied to those brands as well as Prevention and Runner’s World.
