The last few months have been rough on Rodale staffers. According to the New York Post, the company was having trouble meeting payroll, which led to layoffs in January and earlier this month.
Now, with Prevention going ad-free starting in June, there are more pink slips on their way.
“Those cuts, tied to the ad-free Prevention, are now expected to start at the end of this month and continue until April 30, when the last ads for the June issue are sold,” reported the Post.
As for not being able to meet payroll, a Rodale spokesperson simply said “We are in good standing with our banks.”
