RockMelt Hopes the Road to Success Is Social

Last week, Blekko launched. This week, it’s RockMelt.

Acknowledging the competition in the market, this new Web browser, which incorporates social networks like Facebook (AllThingsDigital argues that it’s just Facebook), is offering users the chance to take it for a spin “if you can stand a few kinks and bugs.”

William Campbell, who is an investor and adviser to RockMelt, told the New York Times that he’s hoping the browser appeals to consumers so much that it will prompt word-of-mouth promotion.
