Subject: time to part
Hello lobbying team,
Because of philosophical differences, next week will be my last at The Politico. I’ve got some other projects to pursue.
I think the world of you and chose to stick around another week for that reason. (Hey, couldn’t miss one more round of Suite Talks, Matchups, Pitboss and This Day!)
I’m sure that you’ll be in very good hands, thanks in no small part to Jeanne’s lobbying expertise and Andy’s editing skills, (which hopefully he’ll get to exercise more along with his knee).
Speaking of knees, I’ll be at home healing mine a bit Thursday if you need me.
