RIM Playbook To Run Kindle, B&N Android apps

Well, maybe. Keep your fingers crossed.

Yesterday Bloomberg reported a rumor that Research in Motion is planning to provide support for Android apps on the Playbook, RIM’s new 7″ Blackberry tablet. RIM is planning to develop an emulator, which is an app that will be able to fool Android apps into thinking they’re running on an Android device, not the Playbook. Also, according to the rumor the emulator will be integrated into the Playbook’s OS, which could potentially increase the chance that apps will work.
