Richmond-Based TV Station Launches Prime Time News Show
We think this is a good thing: CBS 6 WTVR-TV has announced plans to launch Central Virginia’s only 7 p.m. local newscast this fall.
“The 30 minute newscast will become Richmond’s only locally-produced television broadcast during prime time access, a time period otherwise dominated by nationally syndicated game shows, sitcoms, and entertainment magazines,” the company says. Content will come from cooperating CBS affiliates across Virginia.
The newscast is expected to launch mid-September.
