Revolving Door: Susan Kirkland's "Separations" (essay)

This isn’t a usual Friday Revolving Door entry, in reporting that someone has been hired or seen a pink slip, but rather, it’s about the revolving door itself, through the wise thoughts of designer, and heck of a writer, Susan Kirkland in this essay, “Separations.” In it, she details all of her many experiences of coming and going in the design world, a thing that’s all too familiar in this world of creativity-desired fickleness. For those of you on either side of the fence, at any level, it’s a terrific essay to read to prep yourself for the enevitable and know that something else will always come along, because that’s the only way to survive.
