Reuters Adds John Walcott as Foreign Affairs and National Security Editor

The foreign affairs vet will be based out of Washington.

John Walcott heads to Reuters’ Washington bureau, where he’ll serve as the foreign affairs and national security editor, announced Washington bureau chief Kevin Krolicki and deputy Washington bureau chief Kevin Drawbaugh in an email to staff.

Walcott will be responsible for D.C.-based foreign policy reporters as well as reporters at the UN bureau in New York.

Most recently, Walcott, who has covered foreign affairs for over three decades, was the team leader for national security and foreign affairs at Bloomberg.
