Reporters Are There to Report, Not Chat

During today’s press briefing, Tony Snow reprimanded some techies and cameramen in the back of the room who were being a bit too noisy (which they could get away with in the James S. Brady Briefing Room, but Jackson Place is simply too small to get away with chatting):

    First, a couple of things I think that are important to — by the way, if we can sort of keep it down in the back. That’s been a distraction the last couple of days, and I’d like to try to make sure that we can all keep our concentration up. …

And again:

    I’m sorry, guys, if we can hold it down, it is distracting. This is not as big as the room used to be. Thank you.
