Report: Fewer Mags are Shuttering This Year Than Last

All financial news right now is “better” when we all want “great.” So then we report/state/think the economy isn’t doing “well” because we want the economy to be rocketing upward. The fact is it’s improving. Which in reality is still crappy. And especially so for freelancers. Jason Fell at Folio writes:

Last year, when so many magazine publishers were scratching and clawing, trying to keep their businesses afloat despite the slumping economy, 279 magazines closed during the first half.
