Rejoice! Sources Say iPhone 5 Will Ship in September
Reuters reports production will start this summer
Reuters is reporting that production of the iPhone 5 will begin in July or August, and Apple will ship it to the public in September, according to “three people with direct knowledge of the company's supply chain.”
Apple has released a new version of the iPhone every June or July since the smartphone first launched in 2007, which means that this year’s shipment will be considerably later than usual. Apple should be releasing a slightly updated version of the iPhone 4 (available in white) sometime this spring.
