RD Recap: Max Read Gets NY Mag Pop-Up Blog; Changes at National Journal

Max Read returns to the New York media fold. The former Gawker.com editor in chief, who quit the blog in July while standing up for editorial freedom, will edit a New York magazine pop-up blog about Internet culture. Kyle Chayka joins the effort, which runs between Nov. 2 and Dec. 19. “This site will take a close look at the new ways in which people live and express themselves on the internet, and will use a variety of formats—reporting, profiles, curation, humor, recommendations and photography,” a New York magazine spokeswoman told Politico.
