The New York Times poaches Washington Post assistant business editor Ryan McCarthy to work on the paper’s audience development team. At WaPo, he edited Wonkblog and oversaw the creation of Storyline… The Hollywood Reporter and Billboard go through layoffs, with a total of 10 staffers losing out.
