Kate Lanphear is out at Maxim, half a year after debuting her vision for the former lad magazine. “Working at Maxim has truly been a rewarding experience,” she said in a statement. “I’m proud of everything all of us at Maxim have accomplished and how far the magazine has come in the past year.” The redesigned mag failed to get traction on the newsstand, with sales falling from 131,000 to fewer than 90,000, an over 40,000 drop.
