National Journal will kill its weekly print magazine (which only published 32 issues a year), although the daily edition and the Hotline tip sheet will remain. “In the long run, I don’t think a weekly print magazine can thrive,” company owner and chairman David Bradley wrote in a memo. The size of the newsroom will decrease, but Bradley hopes to avoid layoffs… The Hollywood Reporter hires Bill Carter and Michael Wolff as contributing editors… Juana Summers takes over as politics editor at Mashable.
