Random House Makes Mobile Version of Book Discovery App BookScout
Random House is taking its popular Facebook app BookScout — a tool that lets readers share their favorite books and get personalized book recommendations — and optimizing it for mobile devices. The release comes after the publisher recently optimized the app for tablets and added social-sharing features.
In addition, the publisher has added a seasonal book recommendations tool to help readers find new reads. The “Summer Reads” recommendations list includes: And the Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini, Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman, and Paperboy by Vince Vawter.
