Random House eBook Sales Up 300% This Christmas

This Christmas is proving to be a big win for eBooks. Today, Random House said that Christmas Day and the day after Christmas were their two biggest eBook sales days ever.

Publisher’s Weekly reports: “Combined e-book sales across e-retailers on those two days rose more than 300% over last year’s sales for the same two-day period, which had been Random’s best two-day e-book sales period ever.”

Amazon sales helped drive this record for Random House. Yesterday the online retailer reported that Christmas Day was its biggest day for eBook sales ever and Random House’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was the most purchased Kindle book on Christmas Day.
