Some Facebook Android users now have the option of allowing people to scan QR codes on their Android applications that direct those people to their Facebook profiles.

Reader Yan Yanko Kotliarsky shared the screenshot below, adding that while he is a Facebook for Android Beta Tester, he has spoken with other Android users who are not beta-testers and who have access to the feature.

UPDATED Oct. 15, 4:28 p.m. ET: Facebook said it debuted the QR code reader for Android last year, and it is available globally on its Android app, allowing users to access their QR codes from the friends section of their menus, with anyone who scans those QR codes being redirected to those users’ Timelines.
