Press Call to Explain Legal Minutia of HCR

What, you don’t understand the complex legal ins and outs of health care reform legislation? This is slanted, for sure, but if you want to hear this side of the story (i.e. “why legal attacks on HCR are misguided”), read on…

On March 24, the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy (ACS) and the Center for American Progress Action Fund will host a press call with leading legal experts who will explain “why opponents’ arguments and actions have no legal basis.”

The call features Erwin Chemerinsky, founding dean and law professor at University of California, Irvine School of law, Judy Feder, senior fellow at the Center for American Progress, and Simon Lazarus, public policy counsel to the National Senior Citizens Law Center and author of the ACS Issue Brief, “Mandatory Health Insurance: Is It Constitutional?” They will explain why the legal attacks on health care reform are “misguided” and explain “why the reform does not violate the Constitution.”

WHEN: March 24, 2010, 1:00 p.m. ET
Call-in: (877) 210-8943
Conference ID: 64865311
