President Jimmy Carter Joins HuffPost Live at 10:15am

Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter joins HuffPost Live today at 10:15am from The Carter Center in Atlanta to make a major announcement in the field of public health and discuss the prospects for peace in South Sudan. The conversation will be hosted by Ahmed Shihab-Eldin, one of the founding hosts of HuffPost Live. Shihab-Eldin is an Emmy-nominated journalist, a social-media addict, and in 2012 was featured on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list of ‘young disruptors, innovators and media entrepreneurs impatient to change the world.’

President Carter is set to announce the record-low number of Guinea worm disease cases in 2013, a huge drop from 2012.
