Politico Changes

FishbowlDC has learned that the Politico and two employees have parted ways: Associate Publisher Kenny Day and staff writer Jeff Patch.

The Politico recently hired an associate publisher for the Politico’s interactive division, Waldo Tibbets. Tibbets, however, will not simply assume Day’s duties following his departure: The Politico is looking for a replacement to Day, an associate publisher who will secure ads for the print edition.

The departures of both Day and Patch (and earlier splits from the paper) continue a trend: Hires made by Marty Tolchin during the paper’s Capitol Leader phase seem to have a short life span at the Politico.
