Something appears to have gone goofy with a “breaking news” alert sent out by Politico this afternoon about President Obama speaking out about the Connecticut shootings.

President Barack Obama will deliver a statement about the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., at 3:15 Friday from the White House.
Though the above states that Obama will speak at 3:15 p.m., we received the “news alert” at 3:27 p.m. What’s more, the alert states that it was sent out at 2:50 p.m. HUH?
