Politico and Tolchin Part
Marty Tolchin, who was hired by Capitol Leader to recruit talent for the paper that would become Politico once VandeHarris came on board, has left the Politico (Tolchin, you’ll recall, is the former publisher and editor-in-chief of The Hill newspaper). Tolchin is joining the Woodrow Wilson Center.
Tolchin wasn’t always happy about being eclipsed by VandeHarris when Capitol Leader turned into Politico and the relationship was polite at best (in fact, many of Tolchin’s hires were eventually let go by the paper over the past year).
