Pokemon Go Celebrates Pokemon Day With Party Hat Pikachu
For a limited time, Pokemon Go players can encounter special Pikachu wearing festive party hats
In celebration of Pokemon Day on February 27, Niantic launched a limited-time update in Pokemon Go. From now until March 6 at 1 P.M. PST, players will have the chance to encounter special Pikachu wearing festive party hats as they play the game.
Like the game’s holiday Pikachu, these Pikachu will keep their party hats even after this event ends, but once the event is over, players will no longer be able to capture them.
In a blog post, Niantic encouraged users to share pictures of the special Pikachu they encounter on social media:
