Pocket Will Soon Come Installed on All Kobo Devices

Pocket, the app that lets you save articles and web pages to read later on, has formed a partnership with the Canadian eReader company Kobo. Beginning September 13th, the Pocket app will come preinstalled on all Kobo devices.

Kobo owners will be able to save articles from their web browsing to the Pocket app and then access them later through their device. The content is now available through Kobo’s enhanced Reading Life platform in the “Articles from Pocket” section.  Existing Pocket users can use their login to access their Pocket reading list. The app will become available as part of an over-the-air software update.

Here is more from the Pocket blog:

Today’s e-readers offer a natural reading experience, but to date, e-ink has been reserved primarily for books. There’s never been an easy way to save web content to your e-reader in the same seamless way that Pocket already does for phones, tablets and computers. At Pocket, we know that a great reading experience is important—in fact, our most active users read the equivalent of three books worth of content every month!—which is why we jumped at the chance to work with Kobo to bring Pocket to all their devices.
