In a bit of app release reversal, PLAY by AOL was released for Android first a few months ago and has now made its way to the iPhone. It can access music stored on the iPhone as well as access to music on more than 47,000 SHOUTcast stations. You can follow friends using the app and share your own music experience via Facebook or Twitter.
You can preview music friends share using the app and buy the song, if you like, from iTunes.
Will this gain more traction than Apple’s Ping (remember that music social sharing service in iTunes).
