Plans Unveiled for LAX Redesign

Well here’s a positive story. Fentress Architects has released images for its plans to redesign Los Angeles International Airport, the commission it won last month. Building Design has a handful of the shots and we think it looks swell, a mix of arches and metallic sails. And lord knows how badly LAX needed to get a massive overhaul. Here’s a bit from the head of the firm:

“The airport is the first and last impression travelers have of this great city. Los Angeles deserves a world-class airport…this modernized airport will change LAX into LA WOW,” said practice director Curtis Fentress.

Let’s just hope Fentress is better at seeing his designs through than his ability to come up with catchy quotes. Or, rather, we mean catchy WOWs!
