Pixite Launches Pigment Adult Coloring Book App on iOS

The app features eight coloring tools, and supports Apple Pencil and third-party styluses.

Pixite has launched Pigment, its adult coloring book app, on iOS. The app offers complex patterns for users to color using a variety of virtual tools, including pencils, markers, paint brushes and more.

The Pigment app includes over 200 illustrations for users to color, which are separated into books based on themes including winter, mandalas and doodles, among others. Once users have selected an image (some are premium), they can color using eight coloring tools.

When selecting a tool, users can customize the size of the drawing tip and the opacity of their work. Colors can be selected from a variety of palettes, and users can customize the shade of a selected color using a bar at the bottom of the screen.

While coloring, users can either color an entire section of the page without limits, or tap on specific shapes to color within the lines (even if their finger or stylus leaves the area). Users can color the same shape more than once to make it darker. Pigment includes 3D Touch support for iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus users, and supports Apple Pencil and third-party styluses.

While Pigment is available to download for free, it offers a premium membership which unlocks access to premium coloring pages, and removes the Pigment watermark when sharing images to social media. Premium users can also save high resolution versions of their projects. The premium membership costs $1.99 per week, $4.99 per month or $24.99 per year, and offers a seven-day free trial.

Pigment is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store.
