Slimmed-down Android application Pinterest Lite is now available globally.
Pinterest rolled out Pinterest Lite in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru last October, saying at the time that the app was basically a downloadable version of the Progressive Web App it began developing in July 2017, and that it takes less time to download and occupies less storage space on users’ Android devices.
A previous version of Pinterest Lite had been available via the Google Play Store in late 2016 and early 2017.
Pinterest said in a blog post Wednesday that Pinterest Lite is available globally via the Google Play Store, adding that the app will be rolled out for Arabic speakers soon.
